BECIL orders 2,100 EV chargers from EVIT
Broadcast Engineering Consultants India Ltd, a Government of India enterprise, placed a purchase order with EVIT for 2,100 EV chargers — and SGS inspected every lot.
On 23 September 2022, Broadcast Engineering Consultants India Limited (BECIL) — a Government of India enterprise under the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting — issued EVIT a purchase order for 2,100 electric vehicle chargers on a pan-India basis.
What the order covers
The purchase order has three parts:
- Guaranteed technical parameters and specifications, approved by BECIL
- Supply of the chargers, site survey and charger accessories
- Comprehensive annual maintenance, plus EVIT's Central Management Software (CMS), including software support, backend server, system integration and communication
The order covers 3.3 kW and 22 kW AC chargers.
Inspected lot by lot
Every lot was checked by SGS, the global inspection and certification company, acting as third-party inspector before dispatch.
For a buyer, that is the point: EVIT chargers have been built, inspected and delivered in the thousands, under government procurement rules.
